2012 Snowmobile Winter X Games

Sunday night in the 2012 Winter X Games Heath Frisby says hes bringing the first ever front flip to the X games. He was inspired by the Australian Motocross rider Jackson Strong who front-flipped his way to gold in the 2011 Moto X Best trick. Frisby had secured a total of six Winter X games medals. On Friday he played it safe to save up for his final trick on Sunday. He tried to keep the flip under the radar as not to spoil the surprise, but as Sunday neared the news got out and people were talking about. On Sunday he completed the flip and it secured him the gold medal he wanted.

Cruise Ship Wreckage

On January 13, 2012; just off the coast of Italy a cruise ship named the Costa Concordia hit the rocky coast and started to sink. The passengers said that once the lights went out it created chaos and wide spread panic. The impact created a large hole in the side of the ship letting it take on water and creating it to lean to one side. The life boats were deployed and had people packed full trying to escape. During the havoc there was a total 28 people missing and they have confirmed that 11 of them have died from the wreckage. Italy's Coast Guard has been searching for the missing passengers and crew members in the wreckage. The captain ordered to abandon ship and was later forced back on his cruise liner to coordinate rescue efforts. After all of this the captain is being blamed for commanding the ship off course.
